"Whenever You Call" is the first song by Arashi sung completely in English. The band explained, "It tells the emotions of the five members from suspending their group activities, and how they will still love and be with their fans after the suspension." Bruno Mars wrote this song after listening to the previous Arashi's songs and watching concert videos, and gave the members vocal lessons as well. "Whenever You Call" was released on the 18th of September 2020.

Arashi shared the following message on Twitter on the 9th of September 2020, "A big thank you to Bruno Mars for producing this track for us! Can't wait for you to hear it!" They also told in a video address, "We are big fans of Bruno's music, so this was an honor."
