Kim Taehyung explained the story behind this song during a V Live stream on the 10th of August 2019. He said that the song was inspired by the movie "About Time" (2013).

V (Kim Taehyung) directed the music video for "Winter Bear". The clip was made from the footage of his travels. RM and V co-produced it.
