"Be Nice" is the first collaboration between The Black Eyed Peas and Snoop Dogg. will.i.am told HipHopDX, "Snoop has been a friend and collaborator for nearly a decade. From being a featured guest on 'Songs About Girls' to doing voice work for our Masters of The Sun augmented-reality mobile app."

Adam Friedman, who wrote this song, won with it the episode of NBC's TV show "Songland" on the 4th of June 2019. will.i.am, being the guest judge, chose this track to be re-worked as The Black Eyed Peas' next single. He explained, "Once I chose 'Be Nice' from Songland, I knew the Doggfather lending bars to the track was perfect, with the laid-back positive vibe the Black Eyed Peas were going for."
