"Mill Creek (Story)" lyrics
"Mill Creek (Story)"
Alright
We used to go down to this place called "Three-Dollar Hill"
If you'd get stuck down there after a rainstorm, you know, I mean, you weren't gettin' out of it
It was just something to do for—for fun really
But if you couldn't get out of it, I had a little—a little Jeep Wrangler, 97 Jeep Wrangler that was just a 4-cylinder. So, I ain't have no big ole tires or anything. I was blue-collar mud-road ridin'
And ah—And ah—
So, if you got stuck you could—you could hit up this old farmer that lived on top of Three-Dollar Hill
And you had to walk up there through the mud, and you could give him—he'd charge $3 to get his tractor and come down Three-Dollar Hill and pull you out of the mud
And down on that bottom, where you were trying to get to, there was a place called "Flannigan's Mill"
And we'd go hang out down there and there was this old train trestle wooden bridge, and you could see the old mill and the spillway
And you'd sit down there and learn how to sin
Yeah. We had a lot of good times down at Flannigan's Mill. This song came out of it
This is one of them good times
