"Wrong Places" was picked by H.E.R. during the "Songland" show's episode 3 of the season 2 aired on the 27th of April 2020. She was the guest judge and the song was performed by Raquel Castro, the former star of the "Jersey Girl" TV show.

Raquel Castro told in her backstage interview, that the song was one of many she had composed after she found it hard to do anything after the "Jersey Girl" and the fame that followed. She added, "I waited years and years and years to be standing here right now. Being here on Songland really gives me that confidence that I think I've been in need of for a very, very long time."

"The first version of 'Wrong Places' was just vocal and guitar, super stripped down," Raquel Castro commented, "Now we're adding drums and more bass." H.E.R. decided to do the acoustic version of this song and she performed it from home.
