With the release of "Let Me Be The One", Iza's collaboration with rapper Maejor, she started her campaign "Be The One", a partnership between the United Nations and the Humanity Lab Foundation which aims to help and give visibility to refugees around the world. She said of the project, "Eu fiquei muito feliz por fazer parte disso. Eu me preocupo muito em falar as coisas que importam pra mim, na minha arte. Fazer parte da campanha com um artista que eu admiro tanto, que é o Maejor. É uma coisa que além de me fazer muito bem, me deixa lisonjeada, sabe? A gente estava preparado pra lançar isso antes mesmo de saber de pandemia. Eu acho que ela está vindo agora em um momento em que infelizmente muito propício pra tudo isso."

IZA said about the background of this song, "Essa música chegou pra mim toda em inglês e eu fiz toda a parte musical com o Maejor a distância, né? A gente se conheceu pessoalmente na semana em que a gente gravou o clipe. Eu sempre amei muito cantar em inglês, mas não queria que a mensagem da música se perdesse. Eu queria muito que as pessoas entendessem mesmo o que eu estava falando. Por isso que a escolha foi cantar somente o refrão em inglês. Mas foi bacana misturar as duas coisas. Como é uma campanha mundial, queria muito que as pessoas ouvissem o nosso idioma, que é tão bonito."
