And then went into expensive clothes and inner-city bars
But I felt trapped between those different parts
I didn't know how and where to reach my heart
Except when I saw a tearjerker on TV

Now you might meet me when I'm out on the town late
And you feel pointless and hopelessly out of date
I wag my hips to any groovy bass
And blink an eye at any facelift face
But I'm the tearjerker when I face the floor

Hard to start anew with things so worn in
Hard to run away from things so worn out
