"See What A Fool I've Been (Live)" lyrics

"See What A Fool I've Been (Live)"
(A Night At The Odeon)

We'd like to leave you now with a number called "See What A Fool I've Been"

Well, she's gone
Gone this morning
See what a fool I've been - oh Lord, I said
"What a fool I've been."

I caught a train
I caught a train to Georgia
Ooh, sixteen-coaches long
Oh Lord, I said
"Sixteen-coaches long."
Sure did
Yeah

Ooh, ooh
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh, yeah
Alright, yeah

Ooh, my dog ain't too hungry
He just, he just kept on barking, yeah
Oh, he said he just don't feel the same
Lord, he said, "Just don't feel the same."
He said, "I don't," he said, "I don't."
He said, "I don't feel the same."
Oh, but [?]
Come on

Oh
Ooh

Well, she's gone
Gone this morning
"See what a fool I've been, oh Lord," I said
What a fool—Merry Christmas, everybody—I've been
Oh, yeah

Thank you. Goodbye!
Thanks a lot!

Writer(s): Brian May
This song was inspired by "That's How I Feel" by Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee. Brian May heard that song on a TV program, but couldn't remember its title or the band's name. He remembered the riff and some lyrics though and brought them to his then-band Smile to write "See What A Fool I've Been" around them.
This song was released as the B-side to the "Seven Seas Of Rhye" single in 1974.
This is a bonus track for the Hollywood Records CD re-issue of "Queen II" (1991).
The live and BBC versions of this track were officially released in 2011. They have some lyric differences from the B-side version of 1974.
