"I Get to Love You" reached number 15 on the Spotify Viral 50 on the 5th of March 2016.

Ruelle explained on Facebook on the 22nd of April 2016, "I wrote 'I Get To Love You' as a surprise for my husband for our first dance at our wedding. Even though I'm a songwriter by profession, it's the most difficult song I've ever written because it's also the most personal. I kept getting stuck because I wanted it to be perfect. Luckily my friend Matt Bronleewe (who co-wrote and produced the song) was there to encourage me that what mattered most was that it was straight from the heart."
