"Wild At Heart" lyrics

"Wild At Heart"

She looks like butter wouldn't melt, but
I bet she's on fire
I been around, but boy I never sensed such a
Wild desire

She just walked in and left me breathless
I feel a fever start
Goody two-shoes longing to be reckless
She's wild at heart

Wild at heart
Tired of playing those little mind games, she's so
Wild at heart
Yeah, she broke that chain, now she'll never be tamed
She's wild at heart

She gives a look that she's perfected
Alone in her room
Her past is lying where she left it
The rose has bloomed

For so long she had a secret yearning
And played her part
But all the while, a fire was burning
Wild at heart

Wild at heart
Tired of playing those little mind games, she's so
Wild at heart
Yeah, she broke that chain, now she'll never be tamed
She's wild at heart

In the smoky ultraviolet light
A new woman's gonna start to live tonight

Wild at heart
Tired of playing those little mind games, she's so
Wild at heart
Yeah, she broke that chain, now she'll never be tamed
Wild at heart
Nothing's ever gonna be the same, she's so
Wild at heart
Yeah, she broke that chain, now she'll never be tamed
She's wild at heart
Wild at heart
Woo-ooh-ooh
She's wild at heart

Shakin' Stevens told about "Wild At Heart", "I was laying on the sofa in my friend John's studio, and he was playing tracks to us – and this one caught my attention. I really like country rock – its upbeat, feel-good factor – what's not to like? Unfortunately, it wasn't right for the 'Echoes Of Our Times' album, which had a clear theme, but it deserves to be out there, so it's great to be releasing it now."
