"Pepeha" is the first bilingual song by Six60. It was released on the 27th of August, 2021. The band frontman Matiu Walters said about the song, "We took the challenge of writing a Pepeha for all of New Zealand."
The band wrote on its Instagram page, "Proud to share this one, been over a year in the making. 'Pepeha' for the People! A pepeha shows our connection to the physical and spiritual place we call home. This anthemic waiata links significant things – prestige, love, and family – with our environment and to our ancestors."
