I came from a place called Paducah, Kentucky, and I have often wondered
"Y'know, what would've happened if I would've written some of my songs that I've written recently...
Songs like "The Great Adventure," if I would've written this while I was still hanging around Paducah, Kentucky, it probably would've sounded a little different

When I was in college, they tried to teach me about "real music," okay?
Now, if I had written the great adventure while I was in college learning about "real music," it might've sounded a little something like this
But after college, I moved to the home of country music: Nashville, Tennessee!

Well, then there was this short little stint in a polka band once-
No, I'm just kidding
I'm- I'm through, don't go anywhere, no, please
No, actually, you can say that in a lot of different ways, and some of them are very ridiculous, but no matter how you say it, I believe that God created life to be a great adventure, and, uh, amen
And any adventure is gonna have mountaintops and valleys, and sometimes, I may sit at the top of one of those mountains or at the bottom of one of those valleys and write songs that really come from my heart, and my prayer as I'm writing them is that those that hear them would be encouraged and be challenged, and uh
So these next few songs are some of those kind of songs
This is a medley of some of those quiet songs that
I pray tonight as we listen to them, God will encourage us and challenge us together, and we'll listen closely to see what He may wanna say to us tonight
