"Oden's Hunt" lyrics

Furious barking echoes through the dismal night
Shivers running down my spine
Growing darkness, clouds are gathering in the sky
Terror running through my mind

My heart is pounding wild
Filled with dread and fear
As thunder fills the sky
Eight hooves drawing near

Be careful
If you hear him ride
Watchful
You would better hide
Mindful
To save your life
Heedful
Oden hunts tonight

Running, fleeing, an old crone comes my way
Trembling words and panting lungs
Pleading, begging, asking me not to betray
Doubting, I agree to hold my tongue

My heart is pounding wild
Filled with dread and fear
As thunder fills the sky
Eight hooves drawing near

Be careful
If you hear him ride
Watchful
You would better hide
Mindful
To save your life
Heedful
Oden hunts tonight

Hunt, hunt, Oden's hunt
Hunt, hunt, Oden's hunt
Hunt, hunt, Oden's hunt
Oden hunts tonight

Run, hide, flee, die
Oden hunts tonight
Run, hide, flee, die
Oden hunts tonight

In front of me appears a man with single eye
Two wolves with flaming breath
He strikes my heart with fear, to him I cannot lie
I condemn that crone to death

I was fearful
When I heard him ride
Deceitful
I lied to save my life
Grateful
That I survived
Lived through
Oden's hunt

So be careful
If you hear him ride
Watchful
You would better hide
Mindful
To save your life
Heedful
Oden hunts

Hunt, hunt, Oden's hunt
Hunt, hunt, Oden's hunt
Hunt, hunt, Oden's hunt
Oden hunts tonight
