Ashe said of "Till Forever Falls Apart", "This song, while sounding like the most romantic song I've ever written, is about acceptance as well. The lyrics, 'I'm gonna love you knowing we don't have forever' are about how it's more important to have had the chance to love than to stay in love. Finneas is one of the most talented people I know and it's fitting to release this song with someone I love so much. I'm lucky to know him and I hope to never know a life without him in it."

Finneas stated about this collaboration on Instagram on the 2nd of March 2021, "Ashe and I have known each other for nearly four years now and it has been such an incredibly fulfilling experience to watch her receive the recognition she is so incredibly deserving of. This song to me, is a love letter to friendship and I think songs like this one are important. Friends are important. Ashe is important. Hope you love it as much as I do. Written by Ashe, Leroy Clampitt and me, produced by Leroy with a little help from me."

The music video for this song, published on the 2nd of March 2021, was inspired by the dance duet of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Choreography was done by Monika Felice Smith.
