'Spark Up' is Ball Park Music's first release since their 2018's "Good Mood" LP. The song was recorded on the 18th of October 2019. It is the first taste of the band's sixth album "Mostly Sunny".

Sam Cromack explained, "I guess it's kind of a protest song. It's a song for those who are writhing in their skin. It's a song for those who are dreaming of some other place."
