"A Billion Revolutions" lyrics
"A Billion Revolutions"
Someday
You could be part of me
When I grow
Happy birthday to you
She'd lit them, she'd heated them, she'd whirled them around her. Several billion revolutions later, she was still watching as they somehow kept being not dead. But recently Stylantis had gone invisible, then silent. All she could see was her own reflection. Had one of her children decided for everyone that there was no further reason to impress the sky?
Truth be told that Stylantis buried itself deliberately. The unceasing mystery of its own aliveness had finally proven too much. In a moment of exasperation, daytime was cancelled. A colossal dome was constructed, renouncing all that bewildering brightness and heat. Hard and shiny on the outside, dark and creamy on the inside, it was called HOTS Chocolate, in memory of an extinct plant their species once enjoyed. "How ingenious we are," they said in that raised voice they used when they were incorrect. Alas, the stupendous cost had netted them little more than an unimaginative plot point in a worn out script written well before they, or their parent, were even born.
