"my mind is a mountain", released on the 10th of July, 2025, is the lead single and the opening track of Deftones' 10th album, "private music". The song marks the Sacramento band's first new music in five years following 2020's "Ohms" album. They teased the song during a huge show in London at Crystal Palace Park on the 29th of June, 2025: the stage screens showed the name of the album and the Roman numerals hinting at the release date.
