"The Quest And The Curse" serves as the band's first new music since their 2020's album "Apocalypse & Chill". The song also introduced the new lineup of the band with vocalist Diana Leah and bassist Ludovico Cioffi joining the band founder (keyboardist and main songwriter), Martijn Westerholdand, along with returning guitarist Ronald Landa and original drummer Sander Zoer. For instance, Westerhold said of the track, "The future of DELAIN looks bright!"
