"Didn't It Rain" lyrics

Oh no look down on the multitude
She said the man up in heaven didn't plan for you
A cry went out and a shout was heard
Good god almighty gonna cleanse the earth
The animals are coming two by two
The elephant and the kangaroo
No pride out your men are full of sin
My god's got the key and you can't come in

In the east in the west
In the north in the south
All day all night all night
Oh tell me didn't it rain children
Didn't it rain oh my lord now listen to the rain
Listen to the rain
Didn't it pour my lord now
Didn't it rain didn't it rain

Drip drop can you hear it
Drip drop falling down
Drip drop rain rain
Drip drop

Well it rained forty days forty nights without stopping
No one's glad when the rains stop dropping
When I get to heaven gonna put on my shoes
Walk all around spread the news

In the east in the west
In the north in the south
All day all night all night
Oh tell me didn't it rain children
Didn't it rain oh my lord now listen to the rain
Listen to the rain
Didn't it pour my lord now
Didn't it rain didn't it rain

In the east in the west
In the north in the south
All day all night all night
Oh tell me didn't it rain children
Didn't it rain oh my lord now listen to the rain
Listen to the rain
Didn't it pour my lord now
Didn't it rain didn't it rain
Didn't it pour my lord now
Didn't it rain didn't it rain
Didn't it rain

Drip drop
