This song first appeared in the Broadway show Lew Leslie's Blackbirds of 1930 and was performed by singer Minto Cato.

Frank Sinatra recorded the song during the sessions for his album "Songs for Swingin' Lovers!" (1956), but the song was left off the album because the album already included the ballad "We'll Be Together Again". "Memories Of You" was later released on the album "Sinatra Like Never Before" (1973). The 1956 recording was also released on "The Capitol Years" compilation in 1990.

The second time Frank Sinatra touched upon this tune was when he re-recorded it with Axel Stordahl for the "Point of No Return" album in 1962.
