Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks released their version of "Shallow" as a single on the 22nd of October, 2020. The song was later included on Brooks' album "Fun". Yearwood explained, "I hope they (Gaga and Cooper) will see it as the nod to them — and the appreciation to what they did — that it was intended to be."

This song was initially performed by Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood at the request of a fan during a Facebook Live session in March of 2020. "From the moment Ms. Yearwood and I first performed 'Shallow' we have just had so much fun with performing it, and so have the fans, that it just felt right to share this with country radio," Brooks said in a statement.
