"Hunter's Moon" is featured in the horror film "Halloween Kills", the sequel of "Helloween", released in theaters on the 15th of October, 2021. The song and its spooky video were published on the 30th of September, 2021. Frontman Tobias Forge performs the song as Papa Emeritus IV, first introduced after Papa Nihil "died" on stage in March of 2020.

This song was produced by Klas Åhlund, mixed by Andy Wallace (Nirvana, Slayer), and features guitar from Opeth's Fredrik Åkesson.

John Carpenter's "Halloween Kills" theme is the B-side of the 7″ release of this track.

The story behind "Hunter's Moon" goes back to when Ryan Turek (Vice President of Feature Film Development at Blumhouse Productions that creates the horror franchise) attended Ghost's show at the LA Forum on the 16th of November, 2018. This led to Tobias Forge being introduced to the film's co-writer and director David Gordon Green who invited Ghost to feature on the film's soundtrack.
