"Meeting The Master" is the first single from Greta Van Fleet's album "Starcatcher" of which the band's Sam Kizska said, "When I imagine the world of Starcatcher, I think of the cosmos. It makes me ask a lot of questions." The song was released on the 6th of April, 2023.
Greta Van Fleet debuted this song live during the "Dreams in Gold" tour concert in Anneheim, California, on the 24th of March, 2023.
"'Meeting The Master' peers into an esoteric world heeded by the word of a wise teacher," explained Greta Van Fleet in a statement. "Sung in the voice of a devout believer, and eventual group exclamation, the song details the love these fervent followers have for their teacher and their firm belief in his vision. It's an exotic spiritual journey. A dark comedy that inevitably ends in chaos."
