Taya Smith, the worship leader of this track, explained, "I'm encouraged every time we sing the bridge of this song, as it articulates what happens when we have an encounter with Jesus. That in moments of His presence, we ourselves are continually being transfigured. Day in, day out, the continual revelation of who Jesus is as we continue to look at Him and worship in adoration."

This song was based on Matthew 17 from the Bible, where Jesus has taken his friends, Peter, James, and John, with him up a high mountain and showed them that he was a son of God.
