"Not Shy (English Ver.)" is the title track from ITZY's EP "Not Shy (English Ver.)", the group's first all-English album. The song was premiered on January 22, 2021, accompanied by a animated music video. Lia told StyleCaster, referencing their fans, "We were so thankful to our global MIDZY who love our music and who support us despite the language difference. Thus, we wanted to make this English version in return for their support and love!"

Chaeryeong said about singing this song in English, "It felt new to listen to our music in English, and the recording process was very fun. The most challenging thing was the speed of our music. It's usually fast. Whenever I had a question about the pronunciation, I asked Lia; she was always there to help."
