I played it here for the first time ten years ago and I played with Roy's quintet on this very stage. My first time playing in the band with Roy, my first time playing at the Village Vanguard
And we gon' play a song that I actually learnt from him in Seattle, on a way to a recording session. Somewhere on Youtube, I think it's Seattle KPLU. And we learnt this song seconds before performing it [*laughter*] and it's entitled "SOULFUL"
