"Lost" was the first pre-release track unveiled ahead of the 20th-Anniversary Edition of Linkin Park's second album, "Meteora", on the 10th of February, 2023, and was accompanied by the animated music video.

This song was recorded during the "Meteora" recording sessions and its demo version was first included on the DVD "The Making Of Meteora". The snippets of the song were used numerous times in the episodes of LPTV from 2003 to 2007.

A video snippet of this song was posted by Linkin Park on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube on the 6th of February, 2023, with the caption "'Lost,' a new, never-before-heard song from the Meteora archives".
