"Overdose (Slow Down)" lyrics

I'll pack my bags with the morning sun
Tires hit the road, trying to be someone
Got places to go and a race to run
Mm-mm
You're chasing big dreams of your own
Got plans and gardens you've got to grow
Ships in the night, so far, so close
Mm-mm

We've been running in circles and fighting the forces inside our minds
Trying to find purpose in money and chasing a lie
I'm coming home, baby, so come on and leave on a light
Leave on a light

Can we slow down, slow down?
I know it's been a long time coming
Breathe it in, let it out
Stop and let our hearts feel something
Kisses on your collarbone
Your golden skin, the overdose
Slow down, slow down

So take my hand, turn the record on
Let's dance real close till the night is gone
Let the fire remind us where we belong
Mm-mm
We've been searching for something, but darling, it's right here in front of us
Chasing our idols and learning they turn into dust
Lock up the doors, close up the blinds, turn off the lights

Oh, can we slow down, slow down?
I know it's been a long time coming
Breathe it in, let it out
Stop and let our hearts feel something
Kisses on your collarbone
Your golden skin, the overdose
Slow down, slow down (Oh)

Kisses on your collarbone
Your golden skin, the overdose
The bed, your taste, the comatose
I'll hold you tight before I go
Slow down, slow down
Slow down, slow down
