This song is Muna's first release on Phoebe Bridgers' label, "Saddest Factory". The band said, "We hope the powerful sapphic energy of this song summons the ghost of Lilith Fair."

Phoebe Bridgers explained the line "Inside of the CVS" while sharing her tour details with NPR, "At shows, there is always a weird amount of time between load-in and soundcheck. Not enough to do something, but too much to do nothing, so usually I go for a walk. Nine times out of ten, if I see a CVS, I will go in, and nine times out of ten I will buy nothing."

The music video for this track was inspired by the film "But I'm a Cheerleader". Ally Pankiw directed the visuals.
