"Unravelling" is the first track revealed from Muse's tenth studio album, their first new music in four years since 2022's "Will Of The People". The song was premiered on June 20, 2025. The band's official YouTube channel shared the following description, "'Unravelling' puts a new spin on the genre-clash creativity that has become a hallmark of the Muse experience. Haunting, arpeggiated synths establish a foreboding tone before it suddenly detonates into a colossal wall of barbed riffs and unleashing a full-drama hook that pulsates with their renowned maximalist theatricality."

Muse debuted "Unravelling" during an intimate show at the House of Culture in Helsinki, Finland, on the 12th of June, 2025. The song was officially premiered on Jack Saunders' show on BBC Radio 1 one week later.

This song features an 8-string guitar played by Matt Bellamy and it was produced by Bring Me The Horizon collaborator Dan Lancaster who previously mixed Muse's 2022 single "Won't Stand Down".
