Natti Natasha told AFP about this collaboration, "We express ourselves with complete freedom. We are super comfortable. If Becky or I did not feel comfortable with even a single letter in the song, we would not sing it." She also said about the matter, "Three years ago, Becky G and I released a song that became an anthem for all women. Today, I'm so proud to collaborate once again with Becky, someone who I appreciate and admire. I'm positive that we're going to continue breaking down barriers for women in the industry with another empowering song that's perfect to enjoy among friends."

Becky G told about "Ram Pam Pam", "It's my way of saying, 'I want to be empowered as a woman'... me deciding when I go there, it's because I choose to go there. And when I don't want to go there, I don't go there. [...] It might not align with everyone's idea of what feminism is, but it's always with the intention of paving the way for the ones to come."

The music video (directed by Daniel Durán from 2 Wolves Films) for this song features an appearance of Prince Royce. It continues the story from the video for Natti Natasha's song "Las Nenas".
