"Shoreline" lyrics

There's a window to catch, water to fetch
Fire to tend to, ration to stretch
Signals to look for, anchors to pull up
Sharks, pirates, maps to be checked

Destination unknown
Will they make it? Unknown
Probably make till morning
Stores airborne when the waves are thrown

Built for just burning oil
Years on eroded soil
Rusted inside and coiled
Inside I wind
Blind to the shoreline
I'm blind to the shoreline

There's a sliver horizon, hidden surprise
Gold to be got to, shore where it lies
Hole to be digging, they mark the spot X
Nobody digging, has found the spot yet?
Current to ride, direction to guide
Crew to assemble, family goodbyes
Hole to be digging, they mark the spot X
Nobody digging, has found the spot yet?

Built for just burning oil
Years on eroded soil
Rusted inside and coiled
Inside I wind
Blind to the shoreline
I'm blind to the shoreline

Concerns that they gave from the windows they watched
The lives that I save while they stood by and watched
The comfort and fight that was there till it stopped
And made it easy to survive all the storms and the rocks

Built for just burning oil
Years on eroded soil
Rusted inside and coiled
Inside I wind
Blind to the shoreline
I'm blind to the shoreline

Concerns that they gave from the windows they watched
The lives that I save while they stood by and watched
The comfort and fight that was there till it stopped
And made it easy to survive all the storms and the rocks
