"I Don't Want To Know" lyrics

(I don't wanna know)

While I was busy being jealous
He was hard at work
If I'd been lovin' hard as I was lookin'
Wouldn't got my feelings hurt

But now I've grown to be a whole lot wiser
Much more than I was
The only way to make sure you don't stray
Is for me to get all of your love
You see

People are always gonna do what they want to
Regardless who they hurt
So there's no need wastin' time and our feelings
Digging up the dirt

So I don't wanna know about yours, baby
'Cause you don't wanna know about mine (ah-ah)
'Cause it don't make sense to look too hard baby
For what your heart don't wanna find (don't wanna find)

Things just didn't work the old way
So now let's try somethin' new
You stop asking me with who and where I've been
And I won't question you

And it won't mean that we don't care for each other
And it don't mean fool around
It's just, there's no reason to check up on one another
If we've both been gettin' down

And if I'm for feelin' your desires
You won't wanna roam
But if the feelin' gets too strong, well, you gotta do wrong
Must be something missin' outta home

Listen, I don't wanna know about yours, baby
You don't wanna know about mine (ah-ah)
'Cause it don't make sense to look too hard, baby
For what your heart don't wanna find (don't wanna find)

No, I don't wanna know if you plan to hurt me
(I don't wanna know) keep it to yourself
(You don't wanna know) 'bout every little thing I do
(I don't wanna know) you see, I've learned

The only way to ensure that you're faithful
Is to keep you satisfied
'Cause ain't too much that another man can get
From a well that's already dry (oh, baby)

So I don't wanna know about yours, baby
You don't wanna know about mine (ah-ah)
'Cause it don't make sense to look too hard, baby
For what your heart don't wanna find (don't wanna find)

No, I don't wanna know if you plan to hurt me
(I don't wanna know) just keep it to yourself
(You don't wanna know) when or where or with who
(I don't wanna know) no, I don't wanna know about you

(I don't wanna know) all that he said, she said
(I don't wanna know) no, no, I don't wanna know
(You don't wanna know) listen, if you just got to have somebody else
(I don't wanna know) show some respect, keep it to yourself

(I don't wanna know)
(I don't wanna know)
Whoa, I don't wanna know
