"Love Is So Strange" lyrics
It all started with Adam and Eve
In the beginning
Love is so strange
It's the only thing man don't know much about
No baby
For millions of years we've both been here
Seems like someone would have figured this thing out
By now
I swear
Don't you think it's funny
That after all the mean things we say
No matter how much we fight
We end up right back in the bed
I'm telling you
Love is so strange
Oh baby
Love, love is so strange
Oh sugar
The minute you say you love somebody
Then they don't
As soon as you say it's over baby
Then it's you they want
Oh my baby
We've got to work these things out
Oh sugar
Love is strange
There's so much about it I don't understand
Love is so confusing
Why can't there be a little more honesty
I'm telling you baby
Everybody makes such big commitments
Then the race is on
Who can be the first to cheat
Oh baby
Must be some excitement
To having someone all to yourself
That gives you the strangest urge
To want to get busy with somebody else
I'm telling you
Love is so strange
Oh baby
Love, love is so strange
Oh sugar
Everybody wants forgiveness for that
Sexual sin
As soon as you start to build that trust
They go do it again
I'm the man
Sometimes I don't understand
She was kissing me and making me dizzy
Mmm, I thought time to get busy
Then she started crying and telling me to stop
When at the same time she was making me all hot
How was I to know
The more that she says no
The more that she means go
Man wants woman
Woman wants man
But society dictates
She puts me off all she can
Why hesitate
Oh baby
Why make me wait
We both got the feeling
Baby let's get it on
Love is strange
There's so much about it we'll never understand
Love baby
Is so strange
I'm telling you baby
It's just so strange
Some people feel that love is all in the head
And other people feel that love is what you got in the bed
Love, love is so strange baby
I'm telling you
Love, love is so strange
Oh sugar
It's easy to love somebody when everything's going great
How can one misunderstanding turn love into hate
Love is strange
There's so much about it we don't understand
Oh baby
Love is strange
There's so much about it we don't understand
In the beginning
Love is so strange
It's the only thing man don't know much about
