"Wild Things" lyrics

"Wild Things"

You brought me to the edge, a beautiful other world
You made the jump and then I followed you in
I tried to hold you back to save us both, saw you go
Never again, never again

One thing I've come to understand now
These wild things take control over you
Pulling me in it for the thrill now
Wild things, wild things

(Can you feel) Can you feel I'm empty
(Underneath) Underneath your body
(I can feel) I can feel you're empty
Wild things, wild things coming over me

The sun was shining on your shoulders, I felt alive
Next thing I knew we were both choking on water
Your face in my lap and we both laughed along, felt so wrong
Never again, never again

One thing I've come to understand now
These wild things take control over you
Pulling me in it for the thrill now
Wild things, wild things

(Can you feel) Can you feel I'm empty
(Underneath) Underneath your body
(I can feel) I can feel you're empty
Wild things, wild things coming over me

Wild things, wild things
Wild things, wild things coming over me

All is numb, all is numb and beautiful again
All is numb, all is numb and beautiful again

(Can you feel) Can you feel I'm empty
(Underneath) Underneath your body
(I can feel) I can feel you're empty
Wild things, wild things coming over me

(All is numb, all is numb and beautiful)
Wild things, wild things
(All is numb, all is numb and beautiful)
Wild things, wild things coming over me

"Wild Things" was premiered on Kerrang Radio in the UK on the 9th of September 2020. It is the second song released from Seaway's 2020 album "Big Vibe".
Seaway's vocalist Ryan Locke told about this song, "Going into writing 'Wild Things', we knew that this song would lean more heavily on the indie-pop influences. It came together a bit later in the process. I think with a song like this it had to breathe a bit so we could figure out where it was going to go."
Speaking with RockSound.tv, Ryan Locke explained, "Musically this was a very fun song to put together because we had such a specific idea for it. The song started with the simple opening riff, from there we threw electric drums under it to give it that bedroom indie pop feel. We trusted our producer Anton with throwing a tasteful amount of synth on it. I really love the way the song continues to get bigger and bigger as it progresses."
