"Victorious" lyrics
"Victorious"
I hear them talk to me
But they're not listening
Their words are kerosene
They don't know who I am
They'd never understand
What it's like to be me
I don't wanna be here
So stuck inside
Tell me how long have I been here?
I'm losing track of time
In all this loneliness
In all this emptiness
Been stuck inside this room like a prison sentence
I'm not gonna stay
Tell me there's a way
High above it all (High above)
Victorious victorious
Far too long I've crawled (Far too long)
In hopelessness I'm over this
Don't give up on me (Don't give up on me)
Tell me you believe (Tell me you believe)
I can face it all (Face it all)
Victorious victorious
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Can't change this overnight
Though heaven knows I've tried
Here I go again
I need a savior now
Someone to break me out
Who's been the place I've been
Don't wanna be forgotten
When I'm dead and gone
I just wanna be the one who
Got up and came back strong
High above it all (High above)
Victorious victorious
Far too long I've crawled (Far too long)
In hopelessness I'm over this
Don't give up on me (Don't give up on me)
Tell me you believe (Tell me you believe)
I can face it all (Face it all)
Victorious victorious
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Help me
'Cause I'm falling
When I can't sleep, but I'm holding on
Can't face this night alone
In all this loneliness
In all this emptiness
Been stuck inside this room like a prison sentence
I'm not gonna stay
Tell me there's a way
High above it all (High above)
Victorious victorious
Far too long I've crawled (Far too long)
In hopelessness I'm over this
Don't give up on me (Don't give up on me)
Tell me you believe (Tell me you believe)
I can face it all (Face it all)
Victorious victorious
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Writer(s): John Landrum Cooper, Korene M Cooper
Skillet's frontman explained 'Victorious' by saying, "I wanted to write a song for people who suffer from depression. I wanted to tell them that they are not alone. This song is both simultaneously sad and inspiring. Hopefully, it can encourage people to transcend the dark places they live in."
John Cooper said that this song was inspired by those who battle depression including
Linkin Park's Chester Bennington,
"I didn't know Chester Bennington, but I'm a huge Linkin Park fan. When he died, I couldn't believe it. So I wanted to write what I would say to him if I got the chance. That's 'Victorious'. Hopefully, it can help others get through the struggles with their own demons.”"

Puddle Of Mudd - "Blurry" Everything's so blurry

Preoccupied without you

My whole world surrounds you

Theory Of A Deadman - "Bitch Came Back" The bitch came back the very next day
Oh, the bitch came back, I thought she was a goner
But, the bitch came back, she couldn't stay away

I like her so much...
Halestorm - "Break In" Put your lighter in the air and lead me back home
When it's all said and done I'll follow the echoes
I hear you night after night calling out my name

I didn't...
A Day To Remember - "Degenerates" My friends are degenerates
But I'd never change them
Liars, cheats, and hypocrites
Not the type for saving
Why do we tend to hurt one another?

Like it ain't...
The Score - "The Champion" Champion
Champion
I'm a savage, I'm a fighter
Making noise in these streets
Haymakers like a fire
Throwing hooks to a beat
Got my finger on my pulse, it's steady
I was built for the speed...
