"IT WON'T WORK" lyrics
(feat. Fred Hammond & Lecrae)
Listen, don't let the hate get the best of you (No, no)
'Cause I promise you, no matter how hard they try (It won't work, it won't work)
Honestly, my bank account is low (Bank account is low)
Haters tell me I will never glow (I will never glow)
Mama say her job just let her go (Job just let her go)
I'm short like five dollars at the store, but (Dollars at the store)
Fifteen years and she want a divorce (She want a divorce)
Po-po racial profiling the post (Yeah, we in the post)
Hold your head up when they block you, stay the course, hey
Hey, hey, hey (It won't work, it won't work)
If you know He real, get 'em up, yeah (Yeah, get 'em up)
No matter how I feel, I get 'em up, yeah (Get 'em up, Get 'em up)
These problems be real, they get tough, yeah (Tough, yeah)
But I know the drill (It won't, it won't work)
You know that it gets darkest 'fore the light (Talk to 'em)
You just gotta make it through the night, yeah (Woo)
They say the joy come with the light
I'ma be alright 'cause (It won't work)
Ain't gotta fold yet (Ain't gotta fold yet)
Know that I'm chose, yeah (Know that I'm chose, yeah)
Why you go giving up?
You gotta know He in control, yeah (He in control, yeah)
Don't count on a loss yet (Loss)
'Cause you getting it all back (You getting it all back)
It won't work, yeah
Honestly, my bank account is low (Bank account is low)
Haters tell me I will never glow (I will never glow)
Mama say her job just let her go (Job just let her go)
I'm short like five dollars at the store, but (Dollars at the store)
Fifteen years and she want a divorce (She want a divorce)
Po-po racial profiling the post (Yeah, we in the post)
Hold your head up when they block you, stay the course, hey
Hey, hey, hey (It won't work, it won't work)
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Tryna make it through the night
Praying I can get it right
Been through the pain and the pressure
Tryna fight through my depression
Bills keep piling up, I'm tryna get my bread right
Folks keep hounding me, I'm tryna get my head right
Time to count the blessings, call the losses lessons
Ain't no need in stressing, go on and read the message
Ain't no weapon, no power, no enemy
Standing up to that power that live in me
Soul healing if you go with Him
Keep fighting, you a go-getter
If your shoes got a hole in 'em
Go and kick 'em off and let your toes wiggle
Home cooking with the soul in it
Big smiles with the gold in 'em
We got problems, but we roll with it
Trust God with the whole issue
I done seen 'em come and go
And I ain't ever seen a problem that He can't fix
Hold your head high, keep your faith strong
When it get hard, don't quit
Honestly, my bank account is low (My bank account is low)
Haters tell me I will never glow (I will never glow)
Mama say her job just let her go (Job just let her go)
I'm short like five dollars at the store, but (Five dollars at the store)
Fifteen years and she want a divorce (She want a divorce)
Po-po racial profiling the post (Yeah, we in the post)
Hold your head up when they block you, stay the course, hey
Hey, hey, hey (It won't work, it won't work)
We gon' keep pushing
'Cause no matter what
No weapon formed against me shall prosper
It won't work
'Cause I promise you, no matter how hard they try (It won't work, it won't work)
