"Gotta Make A Change" lyrics

I'm on the outside looking in
Wondering what it takes to make a change of heart
You know it
Temporary fixes and elixirs
Promise that we never had a chance to start

You need a change
Time for me and you to make a change
Change
Time for us to stop this acting strange
Change
Girl, it's not enough to talk about it
'Cause we need a change
Yeah

Time and time again I see a vague reflection
Shining through the haze
Ooh, it must be a deception of perfection
Maybe someday, someway we might make it through the maze

You need a change
I can't take the things we're going through
Change
Girl, we got to change, it's me or you
Change
And I know my heart's been acting strange
'Cause we need a change

Change
Time for me and you to make a change
Change
Time for us to stop this acting strange
Change
Girl, it's not enough to talk about it

'Cause we need a change, yeah
Change
I can't take the things we're going through
Change
Girl, we got to change, it's me or you
Change
And I know my heart's been acting strange
'Cause we need a change

And it's not too much to talk about it
From the mountaintops I'm gonna shout it
And you know my heart's been acting strange
Girl, we need a change
Yes, we need a change
Ooh, oh yeah
Change

Ooh, yeah
Change
From the mountaintops I'm gonna shout it
Change
Ooh, ooh
Change
And it's not enough to talk about it
