"Bittersweet" lyrics

We laughed and we cried and we lit up the night like a L.A. Sunset Strip
We burned like a fire and we drowned in desire, thought forever was what we'd get
We played it all out till it all headed south and we both knew that it was goodbye
But sittin' in here watchin' you drink a beer that I didn't buy you tonight

Baby, I'd be lyin'
If I said seein' you with someone new
Didn't kinda cut right through my over you
To see you smilin'
With another guy like it's meant to be
I'm happy you're happy without me
But it's bittersweet

Part of me wants to fight, part of me wants to slide him a drink and go shake his hand
But I ain't gonna do either one of the two, I'm just gonna watch you dance

Baby, I'd be lyin'
If I said seein' you with someone new
Didn't kinda cut right through my over you
To see you smilin'
With another guy like it's meant to be
I'm happy you're happy without me
But it's bittersweet, oh, it's bittersweet
It's bittersweet

Oh, every kiss we ever had's runnin' through my mind right now
Oh, I'm conflicted kinda miss you but I'm glad you're doin' fine now

Baby, I'd be lyin'
If I said seein' you with someone new
Didn't kinda cut right through my over you
To see you smilin'
With another guy like it's meant to be
I'm happy you're happy without me
But it's bittersweet
It's bittersweet
Oh, it's bittersweet
