Beverly Hills is the first single off of the album. The song became their first Top-10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Rivers Cuomo explained, "...I saw a picture of Wilson Phillips. And for some reason I just thought how nice it would be to marry, like, an 'established' celebrity and live in Beverly Hills and be part of that world."

Hugh Hefner makes a cameo appearance at the beginning of this song's music video which was filmed at the Playboy Mansion.
