"That's What You Call Digestion" lyrics

After you chew and
Swallow your food
Where does it go?
I wish I knew
Does it stay in your tummy?
Does it still taste yummy?
Or is it turned into muck?

Well, it goes...
Down the oesophagus
Say goodbye, off it goes
Into the stomach, splash!

Round the duodenum
Boy, you should have seen them
Turning into muddy mash

Up and down intestines
Having just the best time
Making us strong, no question

Into the bloodstream
Lose what you don't need
That's what we call digestion

Down the oesophagus
Into the stomach, splash!
Round the duodenum
Up and down intestines, ha!
Into the bloodstream
Lose what you don't need

Now I think I know
Where it all goes
When we swallow our food, I guess

It goes down and down
Round and around
But I've forgotten the rest
Can you tell me?

Well, it goes...
Down the oesophagus
Say goodbye, off it goes
Into the stomach, splash!

Round the duodenum
Boy, you should have seen them
Turning into muddy mash

Up and down intestines
Having just the best time
Making us strong, no question

Into the bloodstream
Lose what you don't need
That's what we call digestion

What about the descending colon?
That's what we call digestion
What about the ascending colon?
That's what we call digestion
Oh yeah!
