"Entertain You" was premiered on May 8, 2020. Singer Sharon den Adel told about it, "Both in the music industry and the world around us, we see so many things changing and that inspires us creatively. We have always been a band that embraces change and this song shows that more than ever, both musically and lyric-wise. For many of our fans, the song will be a shocker."

This song was originally planned to be released during Within Temptation's "Worlds Collide" tour with Evanescence in April 2020, but the tour dates were postponed until the fall of 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic. Sharon den Adel told Metal Hammer, "It's just nice to have some new stuff when you're playing live. Although the tour is now postponed, we still feel it's a good time. Everybody is at home, it's nice to see something new, and it's nice for the fans to have something."

The male vocals on this track were provided by the band's producer Daniel Gibson.
