"Better Days" and the album it belongs to mark the first new music by Yellowcard in nearly a decade. "We are focused on this chapter of our career being about happiness," frontman Ryan Key said. The song and its music video (directed by Jordan Phoenix) were published on the 28th of May, 2025. "This is the most fun we've had making a video in 20 years, and we hope everyone has a smile on their face when they watch it," Key also added.

Travis Barker (Blink-182), who is one of the co-writers of this song, also produced it and played drums on it (as on every song of the album).
