"Born To Be Happy" lyrics

I wasn't born to sing the blues, I wasn't born to hear bad news
I keep my troubles on the run, count my blessings one by one
Got a song in my heart, dance in my shoes
I just laugh at the blues

I was born to be happy, I was born to be gay
I was born to be free from worry; I like it that way

I was born to be lucky, in everything that I do
I was born to be, and I'm gonna be, happy my whole life through

I was born to be happy, I was born to be gay
I was born to be free from worry; I like it that way (like it that way)
I was born to be lucky, in everything that I do
I was born to be, and I'm gonna be, happy my whole life through

I was born to be happy. Yes, I was born to be gay
I was born to be free from worry, I like it that way
I was born to be lucky, in everything that I do
I was born to be, and I'm gonna be, happy my whole life through
Happy, happy, happy my whole life through!
