"Slow Down" lyrics

I got caught in a storm and I don't control the weather
Like a leaf in the wind with everywhere to go
I could feel it, it was time to pull myself together
Gotta take a step outside of the tornado

So put your hand in mine
I won't let go this time
I hope that you don't mind
If I take just a little break
For everybody's sake
Needed to slow down

I'm not in full control
And I can feel it take its toll
I guess it's just a part of growing old
And I thought I'd know by now
But I'm just getting through somehow
I can be the captain
Just point me a direction

I got caught in a storm and I don't control the weather
Like a leaf in the wind with everywhere to go
I could feel it was time to pull myself together
Gotta take a step outside of the tornado

So put your hand in mine
I won't let go this time
I hope that you don't mind
If I take just a little break
For everybody's sake
Needed to slow down

So put your hand in mine
I won't let go this time
I hope that you don't mind
If I take just a little break
For everybody's sake
Needed to slow down
