Freddie Mercury and Brian May wrote this song in Munich after watching the news of poverty in Africa.

A piano part was recorded during sessions for this song, but didn't make it into the final cut.

When listening to this song in the album's track order, it goes after "Hammer To Fall", which ends with a loud bang. This song has the coincidental lyrics "Is this the world we devastated right to the bone?"

This song was performed by Brian May and Freddie Mercury as a duo on the Live Aid concert in London after Queen's famous six-song set during the show.
