"First Day Of School" lyrics

It was my first day of school
Every day's another day in everyday school
There's never be another like the first day of school
So where's my first day of school?
Every day's another day in everyday school
There's never be another like the first day of school

It was the first day of school, I had to dress to impress
Had my hair pushed back with a fly blue dress
Fresh grounds on my feet, my coat and my book bag
Lookin' real good like Christina or Jack
I had to catch a bus quick, never get teased
I'll be the cool of school and the main team
Arrive at the yard, it's P.S. 22
Then I'm surrounded by nothing but some crazy girlfriends
Look, we be erasin' ink, expect that I'm all that
Pumpin' in my book bag sound with some hype tracks
And our first song it plays like even the jazz
So let me stop, turn around and give myself a clap
I walk in the room and take a seat at my desk
Relax, comment to myself, "Come on, I'm fresh without the hat"
Hush up, so we can copy the class rules
Then we line up at the door and head to the lunch room

Every day's another day in everyday school
There's never be another like the first day of school
So where's my first day of school?
Every day's another day in everyday school
There's never be another like the first day of school
It was my first day of school
Every day's another day in everyday school
There's never be another like the first day of school
So where's my first day of school?
Every day's another day in everyday school
There's never be another like the first day of school

I come slayin' for months with a mouth full of crunchy munch
Curry and a rice, ain't no way I can brush my teeth
Oh well, I gotta go through the school day
Like how my aunt prays 'cause I could never stand a cavity
Walk through the crowd, it's really walkin' through life
Hand in hand, boys and girls, each and every single time
We play around with Mickey and the Daffy Duck
Or watch the boys play with football before a talkin' truck
That gets boring so we think up some new games
Simon goes deep with seven of our charades
So we all get sleepy so you know it's nap time
Only stuff one kitty in the closet we couldn't find
Then the teacher struck, "Why did my mother some top the nose?"
The bottle feel good, battery was charged
Bye, gotta go home quick, see you tomorrow

It was my first day of school
Every day's another day in everyday school
There's never be another like the first day of school
So where's my first day of school?
Every day's another day in everyday school
There's never be another like the first day of school
It was my first day of school
Every day's another day in everyday school
There's never be another like the first day of school
So where's my first day of school?
Every day's another day in everyday school
There's never be another like the first day of school
