"Criss Cross" was released on the 9th of July 2020 along with its video. This song was recorded during sessions for Rolling Stones' album "Goats Head Soup" in 1973. It is featured on the expanded 2020 re-issue of the album.

Mick Jagger told Zane Lowe from Apple Music about finally publishing this song, "Keith Richards and I both had the idea that we should release it. But I said, 'Well, I've got to rewrite it.' Some of it is not going to work, and some of it was a bit weird and a bit too dark. So, I slightly rewrote it. I didn't have to rewrite very much, to be honest. It's very much how I originally did it."
