"Thief" lyrics

I see you stare at him and there's something in your eyes
And something doesn't sit right
You're crossing every single line
'Cause I told you that he was every single thing I liked
How I thought about him every night
I thought that you were on my side

I didn't think you'd try
To take what's mine
But I caught you red-handed at the scene of the crime

You wait 'til nightfall
To put another knife in my back
'Cause he comes when you call
When you don't even like him like that
All for the greed, you wannabe thief
Tryna pull the heist of the century
You tried to break the law
Bet you didn't think you'd get caught

Now I know you've shown the type of person that you are
The type that has to leave a mark
The reason why I called the guards
Not so subtle when you claim that you know everything
But everything you know about him, you learned from me

I didn't think you'd try
To take what's mine
But I caught you red-handed at the scene of the crime

You wait 'til nightfall
To put another knife in my back
'Cause he comes when you call
When you don't even like him like that
All for the greed, you wannabe thief
Tryna pull the heist of the century
You tried to break the law
Bet you didn't think you'd get caught

Don't you think I notice how you fix your hair when he shows up
And I know that you're wishing it was you instead when it's just us
And isn't it sick how I let you in
Now you wanna be the girl that he would pick
Out of anybody had to go pick him
Does it keep you up

You tried to break the law
Bet you didn't think you'd get caught
