"Here Comes The Sun" lyrics
"Here Comes The Sun"
Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
It's all right
It's all right

Writer(s): George Harrison
George Harrison wrote this song after one of business meetings he had had to attend because the band needed to take part in their accounting and business affairs after their manager Brian Epstein died in 1967. The song was inspired by long winters in England which seemed to last forever for him.
Eric Clapton recalled in the documentary "The Material World" that George and him were in Clapton's garden, sitting with their guitars under the sun one beautiful spring morning when George began to write this song.
John Lennon didn't participate in the recording of this song because he and George weren't exactly getting along at the time.
George Harrison's good friend
Tom Petty, who played with him in the
Traveling Wilburys, said about this song in an interview for the Rolling Stone magazine,
"No piece of music can make you feel better than this. It's such an optimistic song, with that little bit of ache in it that makes the happiness mean even more."
